Roger Hawkes

Roger Hawkes graduated from the University of Washington in 1968 with a degree in Business Administration and in 1973 with his Juris Doctor degree. In between, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant.

After law school, he worked for a trial court judge for a year and thereafter started Hawkes Law Firm. He has been a member of the Shoreline School Board, the Board of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, and has served as a judge or arbitrator many times.

He was a co founder of the Room Nine parent participation program in Shoreline School District and a local Chamber of Commerce; he has served as an officer or adviser to many different charitable and business organizations. He is a member of numerous sections of the Washington State and King County Bar Associations. He is active on email lists for lawyers serving numerous areas of law practice.

His favorite part of being a lawyer is helping good clients to solve their legal problems in an efficient and friendly manner. He also enjoys the challenge of learning new areas of law and advocating for law changes to protect individuals and small businesses. When not doing ‘law’ he enjoys spending time with Lisanne and their six children and many grandchildren.
