My work and educational background are in both law and mortgage practice. Educated and raised in California, I attended law school in Great Britain at the University of Warwick, and was called to the English Bar in 1990 as a member of Lincoln’s Inn. After returning to the US and while raising a family, I worked in the mortgage industry, including Bank of America for and several independent mortgage brokers in California and Washington State. In 2010, I returned to the legal profession and entered the Washington State Bar Association Law Clerk program under the tutelage of Roger Hawkes. After completion of the program, I passed the Washington State Bar and currently practice at Hawkes Law Firm in debt settlement, foreclosure defense, real estate transactions, and estate planning.
My husband Dan, a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, and I have four children between us in our blended family, along with two dogs and cats. I am a swimmer and a dedicated student of Shotokan Karate currently preparing for my second degree black belt – a fact I mention only occasionally to opposing counsel
