Jamie Kim attended college at the University of Illinois and majored in mechanical engineering, earning her degree in 1997. She also traveled internationally and earned an International Studies minor. Since college, she felt the call to law school wanting to explore ways to use her education to help people. She graduated in 2002 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and has been practicing law since then.
Jamie immigrated to the USA from Korea when she was 12; she speaks, reads, and writes Korean fluently. Her personal and familial immigration experience provides her a special awareness and knowledge about cultural challenges.
Jamie enjoys camping, cooking, and hiking. She also enjoys her young daughters, Joy and Grace.

Jamie previously worked for the Cook County, Illinois, Attorney’s office and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, as well as public defense offices in Seattle.
Jamie now concentrates on business and real estate law such as business/real estate purchases and sales, landlord/tenant laws, and related disputes. Prior to joining Hawkes Law Firm she gained extensive experience in criminal defense, contracts, and other civil disputes.
